Typical Convo

Background information: H was going out for dinner with some colleagues and one of his visiting course instructors from the States (who specified that he wanted to have dinner at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant). This was a conversation we had prior to him leaving home for the sumptuous seafood dinner.

H: Do you want me to buy dinner for you later?

Me: That depends on what you will be buying.

H: (after some contemplation) Why don’t you cook Maggi mee for dinner then. I bought eggs already.

Me: (speechless) …

Why he would think that instant noodles with egg could even be comparable to food bought from Jumbo is way beyond my comprehension. LOL. But H is funny like that: given a choice, he will always choose home-cooked food over those bought from outside.
